John "Jack" M. Novak, 79, of L'Anse, Michigan, died at his home, Thursday, December 30, 2004.
Jack was born October 4, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois. On January 31, 1948 he married the former Marion Nichols and she preceded him in death on August 16, 2004.
Jack was employed for several years as a school bus driver for the Skanee School. He served as a volunteer for the Skanee Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Blessed Kateri Tekawitha Church in Zeba.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Jacobson Funeral Home. A parish prayer service will be recited at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Chacko celebrating. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the mass in the church. Interment will held in the Skanee Cemetery in the spring.
