Judith V. Maki, 73, of L'Anse, died Sunday afternoon, July 3, 2005 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming.
She was born March 30, 1932, in Zeba, Michigan, a daughter of the late William and Aini Maki.
Judy had resided in Newberry fifteen years before moving to reside with her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Henry Hartikka. She had been a resident of the Aurora House for the past 10 years.
Judy was a member of United Lutheran Church. She also spent much of her time working at the Copper Country Mental Health Center. She enjoyed music and people.
She is survived by 2 nieces, Darlene (Harold) Godlevske of Aura and Betty Gerts of Deerfield, Illinois; and many great-nieces and nephews. Her parents, an infant sister and her sister, Helen preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2005 at 11 am in United Lutheran Church with Rev. Scott Williams officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be in L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery.
