Kenneth Wuollett

Kenneth Wuollett, age 61 of L'Anse passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003 at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN.

He was born November 24, 1941 in Chicago, IL son of the late Howard and Gertrude (Bloom) Wuollett. Ken grew up in Chicago and age 16 moved to Eagle River, WI where he graduated from high school. He went into the US Army during the Vietnam War. Ken moved to L'Anse in 1964. He married the former Sharon Paquet on June 22, 1974 in L'Anse. Ken worked at the A & P store for 14 years. He then went to work for L'Anse Area Schools as a bus driver and grounds keeper, retiring in 2002.

Ken enjoyed camping and spending time with his granddaughters. He was a member of the L'Anse Lions, American Legion Post 144, and the DAV.

He is survived by his wife Sharon of L'Anse; two sons, Steve (Angie) Milford of Iron Mountain, David Milford of L'Anse; one brother Leslie (Roberta) Wuollett of Orland Park, IL; two granddaughters, Mary Grace and Catherine Milford; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday Sept. 9 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home. The L'Anse Lions will conduct a service at 7:00 p.m., and the Baraga County Area Veterans will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m.. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
