Kevin F. Keranen
September 28, 1954 — February 27, 2002
Kevin F. Keranen, age 47 of Alston, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at Marquette General Hospital. He was an organ donor for the Gift of Life.
He was born September 28, 1954 in L'Anse, son of Lauri and Marianne (Alatalo) Keranen. Kevin graduated from L'Anse High School in 1972. He worked as a skidder driver for Connor Products in Baraga and as a mill wright at Penegor Lumber in Twin Lakes. For the last several years he was a caregiver for his father.
Kevin is survived by his parents Marianne and Lauri Keranen both of Alston; sister, Kristine (David) Kasten of Ewen; nephews, Jim (Pam) Kantola of Peoria, AZ and their children Bryan and Jason Kantola, Jeff Hautamaki of Columbus, OH; two aunts; and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by a brother Delbert, and a nephew Jason Hautamaki.
The funeral service will be on Sunday, March 3, at 6:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Michael Laakko will officiate. Burial will be in the Alston Cemetery in the spring. Refreshments and fellowship will follow in the Sharing Room at Jacobson Funeral Home.
