Kristen Sue Loman

Kristen Sue Loman age 48 of Lansing, formerly of Baraga, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2003 in Lansing.

She was born August 9, 1955 in L'Anse, MI daughter to James and Mae (Juntunen) Loman. Kristen graduated from Baraga High School in 1973 then went on to Northern Michigan University to earn her Assoc. Degree. She worked for Baraga Community Schools and Copper Country ISD prior to moving to Lansing where she worked at Jackson National Life Insurance Co. for 21 years as an Executive Legal Secretary. Kristen was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Lansing. She enjoyed embroidering.

Kristen is survived by her parents James and Mae Loman of Baraga; brother, Mark (Anne) Loman of Ishpeming; sisters, Patricia Verdi of Cadillac, MI, Paula Loman of San Diego, CA, Cheryl (Matt) Heppler of East Lansing, MI, Carol (Greg) Berthiaume of Middleton, WI; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Verdi, Clara, Anna, and Emma Heppler, Patrick and Scott Berthiaume, Zachary, Margaret, Adam, Rachael, Katie Rose, and Rebekah Loman; great nephews, Logan and Ethan; aunts and uncles, Marveline Bogus of Germantown, WI, Dorothy Loman of Skanee, Arnold and Alice Juntunen of Baraga, Pete and Lil VanStraten of Pequaming, Jean and William Clisch of Alston, Harold and Joyce Juntunen of Livonia, Norm and Jen Juntunen of Farmington Hills, MI, Jane Juntunen of Greenland, MI; and numerous cousins.

She is preceded in death by a sister Joan Marie Loman.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, Sept. 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Baraga. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Judy Mattson will officiate. Burial will be in the Baraga Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
