Leo T. Miilu

Leo T. Miilu, age 81, of L'Anse, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2001 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born December 20, 1919 in Pequaming, son to the late Samuel and Emelia (Johnson) Miilu. Leo married the former Dorothy Ahlsen on December 16, 1944 in L'Anse. He was in the US Navy during WWII, stationed in Pearl Harbor. He worked for Ford Motor Co. Until they moved out of the area, then he went to work for Celotex Corporation. He retired from their in 1980. Leo enjoyed fishing and carpentry work. He was a member of the United Lutheran Church, VFW Post3897, and American Legion Post 144.
Leo is survived by his wife Dorothy of L'Anse and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by three brothers Edwin"Eppie", William, Toivo Miilu, and two sisters Gertrude Moilanen and Elizabeth Salo.
There will be on visitation or service. Burial will be in the Pequaming Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
