Lori Anderson Bal
July 20, 1963 — September 3, 2005
Lori Anderson Bal, 42, a resident of Alston, passed away Saturday morning, September 3, 2005, at her home, with her loved ones around her, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1981. Lori enjoyed gardening, music, fishing and ladybugs.
She is survived by her 3 children, Jessica and Jerod of Norway and Joseph of Iron River; her mother, Barbara Anderson of Pelkie; grandmother, Florence Kunick of Baraga; a sister, Cheri Sanicki of Baraga; 2 brothers, Dennis (Juliane) Anderson of Kingsford and Scott Anderson of Alston; a very wonderful and loving companion in her life, Ron Thompson of Alston; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Anderson; 2 brothers, Donald and Steve; 3 grandparents, George and Prue Anderson and Albert Kunick, Sr.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2005 at 2 p.m. in Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Baraga with Rev. Judy Mattson officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service in the church.
