Louis R. Gross

Louis R. Gross, age 69, a resident of the Covington Rest Home, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2001 at the rest home.
He was born June 12, 1932 in Marshall, MI son of the late Ray and Bertha (Baughman) Gross. He grew up in Marshall and worked as a farm hand at various dairy farms in that area. He lived in the Bruce Crossing area from 1981 until 1991 when he went to the Covington Rest Home. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Covington.
He is survived by a son Russell (Barbara) Gross and a daughter Christine Paulton both of Kewaskum, WI, two sister Mary (Don) Anderson of Luther, MI, Norma Mechelke of West Bend, WI, two brothers, Robert Gross of Marshall, MI, Raymond Gross of WI, and a special friend Emma Anderson of Covington.
He is preceded in death by two sisters Dorothy Good and Alice Reed, and two brothers, Donald and Ray Jr.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Rev. Mark Reinsch will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Ontonagon County, the spring. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is in charge of arrangements.
