Lucille K. Dunstan Ozanich, age 90 of L'Anse, passed away Saturday, August 25 at Shulstad's Leisure Living in Baraga.
She was born July 12, 1911 in Atlantic Mine, MI daughter to the late Thomas and Kate (Couch) Dunstan. Lucille graduated from Painesdale High School. She married Charles Ozanich on August 30, 1934 in Hancock. They managed the Quality Food Market in L'Anse from 1951 until 1972 when she retired.
Lucille was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was an avid Hockey fan.
Lucille is survived by one brother, James (Marie) Dunstan of Royal Oak, MI; three nieces, Barbara (Karl Johnson) Nelson of California, Barbara (Roger) Bates of Linden, MI, Carolyn (David) Starling of Troy, MI; and three nephews, Tom (Kathy) Dunstan of Bloomfield, MI, Jay (Patty) Dunstan of Royal Oak, MI, Jeff (Debbie) Dunstan of Troy, MI.
She is preceded in death by two sisters Florence Nelson and Ruth Kirchofer.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 6-8:00 p.m., and Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Rev. David Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
