Mabel Theresa Foy, age 92 of L'Anse passed away on Tuesday, June 15 2004 at Bayside Village in L'Anse where she was under the care of Baraga County Home Care & Hospice.
She was born May 3, 1912 in L'Anse daughter to the late William and Elizabeth (Charron) Homier. Mabel was married to LaMar Robillard, and then married Elmo Foy. She worked at Baraga County Memorial Hospital as a nurse's aide for several years. Mabel loved fishing, planting tomatoes, and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, Gary Robillard of L'Anse and John (Kris) Robillard of San Diego, CA; daughters, Colette (Gino) Gemignani of Green Bay, WI and Betsy Ross of L'Anse; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are LaMar; her husband Elmo; brothers, Rene and Edward Homier; sisters, Eva Succa, Dora Egerer, Blanche McEwen, and Irene Charette.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 2:00 pm at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Fr. James Ziminski will officiate. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
