Margaret Dorothy (Hall) Marquardt

Margaret Dorothy Marquardt, age 95 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Bayside Village in L’Anse.

She was born August 10, 1923 in Austin, MN daughter of Francis and Lydia (Paape) Hall. She graduated from Austin High School in 1941. Margaret married Vern Marquardt on March 4, 1950 and they resided in Minneapolis until 1964 when they moved to L’Anse. She worked as a professional hair stylist.

Margaret was a member of the United Lutheran Church in L’Anse. She enjoyed gardening, taking walks, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her son Gary (Kelly) Marquardt of Baraga; daughter Karen Marquardt of Blaine, MN; brother Donald Hall of Austin, MN; grandchildren Ken, Michael, and Emma; and six great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Vern Marquardt; granddaughter Nicole Marquardt; and sisters, Agnes Wood and Marian Lutz.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Rev. John Ansell will officiate. Burial will be in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
