Margaret Jean Rajala
April 15, 1944 — September 14, 2002
Margaret J. (Marge) Rajala, age 58 of Covington passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2002 at her home with her family by her side.
Marge was born April 15, 1944 in L'Anse, daughter to George and Ann (Muvrin) Brazeau. She graduated from L'Anse High School in 1962. Marge married Paul Rajala on October 14, 1983 in Baraga.
She worked at Wood Development Corporation in Sidnaw for 10 years. Marge then went to work at Celotex. She was a substitute bus driver for the L'Anse schools for more than 10 years.
Marge was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in L'Anse, and a volunteer EMS for the Covington Ambulance.
She loved being with her grandchildren and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Marge is survived by her husband Paul of Covington; parents George and Ann Brazeau of Bovine, MI; sons, William Connor of L'Anse, Dennis (Tammy) Connor of Skanee; daughters, Dawn (Donald) Mills of Alpena, MI, Vicky (Brian) Carlson of Norway, MI, Margie (Jesse VanHaecke)Connor of L'Anse; brother Joseph (Chris) Brazeau of L'Anse; sisters, Mary (Stuart) Lahti of L'Anse, Barbara (Aldrick) Sirard of Midland, MI; and eleven grandchildren.
Marge's wishes are that private family services be held on Monday at Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse. Fr. Greg Heikkala will officiate.
