Mary "Sis" Kayramo, age 75, of L'Anse passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at her home.

She was born April 21, 1932 in Ahmeek, Michigan, daughter to the late Joseph and Leona (Dompier) Schutte. Mary grew up in Baraga and graduated from Baraga High School in 1950. She attended Northern Michigan University where she received her LPN. Mary married William in 1953 at St. Ann's in Baraga. She worked as an LPN at Winkler Nursing Home for over 35 years.

Mary was a member of St. Ann's Church and the American Legion Post 444 Auxiliary in Baraga. She enjoyed playing cards, loved old movies, and liked the sauna. She was a caregiver and a volunteer. Mary was very caring toward her family and loved to feed them; she had unconditional love for them.

Surviving are her son William (Sharri) Kayramo of Herman; son-in-law Paul Tesanovich of Herman; sister Carol (Fred) Ojala of Baraga; sisters-in-law Anne Schutte of Baraga and Helen Anderson of L'Anse; seven grandchildren, Sean Clements, Jalena and Vance Tesanovich, Tara, Tanya, Joseph, and Emily Kayramo; great grandson Easton Clements; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Preceded in death are her husband William; daughter Julia Tesanovich on March 25, 2007; and brother James Schutte.

A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 15th at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Church in Baraga. Visitations will be on Friday from 6-8:00 PM at the Jacobson Funeral Home with parish prayers being recited at 7:30 PM; and on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church. Fr. Augustin George will officiate. Burial will take place in the spring in the Baraga Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Ann's Church. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
