Mary Faith Lois Manning, age 84 of L'Anse, Michigan passed away on Thursday, March 14th, 2013 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.

She was born September 27th, 1928 in L'Anse, MI daughter to Eugene and Alice (Milligan) Racette. Mary Faith graduated from L'Anse High School in 1946. On June 7, 1947 she married Herbert Manning.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and Baragaland Senior Citizens. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, crocheting, reading, and visiting with family and friends.

Surviving are her sons, Mark (Linnea) Manning of Port Richey, FL, James (Rosie) Manning of Wausau, WI, Joseph (Polly) Manning of L'Anse, Robert (Kathy) Manning of Baraga, John (Julie) Manning of Kasson,MN; daughters, Vicky (William) Vertanen of Keweenaw Bay, MI, Mary Dee (Tim) Shanahan of Baraga, MI, Katy "Katrina" (Joe) Schutte of Bovine; brothers, Tom (Anna) Racette of Appleton, WI, Francis (Judy) Racette of Escanaba; sisters, Sally Prokop of Stevens Point, WI, Phyllis Dompier of Gaylord, MI, Sandra (Floyd) Roberts of Mankoto, MN; sister-in-laws, JoAnne Racette of Zeba, Edna Hillman of Menominee Falls, WI; 20 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Herbert, and a brother Pat Racette.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 17th from 4-6:00 p.m. at Jacobson Funeral Home with parish prayers being recited at 5:30 p.m. by Deacon John Cadeau. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church with Fr. John Longbucco officiating. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery in the spring. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
