Mildred L. Moore

Mildred L. Moore, age 100 of L'Anse passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at Bayside Village in L'Anse.

She was born November 24, 1901 in Ishpeming, daughter to the late Gustaf and Christina (Anderson) Westman. Mildred grew up in L'Anse and Ishpeming. She married George Beaudry in 1948, and he preceded her in death. Then she married Talmage "Doug" Moore in 1977. She resided in Gladstone until January of 2001.

Mildred loved to read and cook. She was always an involved aunt.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Helvie (Joe) Gorinac of L'Anse; nieces, Christine (Miles) Behrend of Manistique, Barbara (Rodney) Bolton of L'Anse, Diane (Charles) Eshbach of Houghton; nephews, Clark (Pat) Westman of L'Anse, Terry (Bonnie) Westman of L'Anse, John (Liz) Westman of Ontonagon; step children, James Moore of Marquette, Robert Moore, Frida McDermott of Gladstone; grand niece Kathy (Miles) Stanley of Carney; several grand nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Doug; brothers George, Albert and Oscar Westman; sister Lydia Tregear.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Rev. Larry Saunders will officiate. Burial will be on Monday, Nov. 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ishpeming Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
