Patricia Marie Powers

Patricia Marie Powers, age 71 of L'Anse, MI passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 18, 1941 in Merrill, WI daughter to James and Elsie (Prosser) Powers. Patricia graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School in St. Johns, MI and then received a 2 year degree from Lansing Business University. She worked for Diamond Rio, Michigan State University, and then for the State of Michigan where she retired from prior to moving to L'Anse 12 years ago.
Patricia attended the L'Anse Baptist Church. She loved to read, dance and listen to music. She was crazy about her pets.
Surviving are her mother Elsie Powers of L'Anse; brother Steve (Ruth) Powers of DeWitt, MI; sister Kathleen (Michael) Green of L'Anse; four nephews, James Green, Michael, Russell, and Mark Powers; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father James Powers; and brother Jerome Powers.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 22nd at 4:00 p.m. at the L'Anse Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Bishop officiating. A dinner reception will follow in the church hall. Burial will be in the Pine River Cemetery in Merrill, WI. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
