Pearl E. Marshall
September 20, 1909 — November 19, 2008
Pearl Marshall, age 99 of L'Anse and formerly of Skanee passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Marquette General Hospital.
She was born September 20, 1909 in Skanee, MI daughter to the late William and Sophia (Rylander) Barnett. Pearl attended school in Skanee. She married Ernest Marshall on June 2, 1928 and they resided in the Detroit area until he retired and then they moved back to Skanee. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee.
Pearl is survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her caregiver and friend Nancy Majeski of Aura, MI.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest; five sons, Jimmy, Jerry, Glen, Leroy; and Ray; brothers Dayton and Raymond Barnett; sisters Alice Peltier, Gladys Eliason, Mamie Erickson, Hazel Loosemore, and Estelle Drouquett.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Judy Mattson will officiate. Burial will be in the Skanee Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
