Randolph D. Oberg

Randolph D. Oberg, age 69 of L'Anse, formerly of Ontonagon, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at his home.

He was born January 14, 1933 in Baraga, son of the late Randolph A. and Clairbel (Clisch) Oberg. Randolph was in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from January 1951 until January 1954. He was a miner in the White Pine Copper Mine for more than 30 years. He lived in Ontonagon until August of 2002 when he moved to L'Anse.

Randolph was a member of the VFW Post 3897 in L'Anse. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Randolph is survived by his sisters Betty Almli and Norma Osterman of L'Anse, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a sister Margaret Londo.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Baraga Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is in charge of arrangements.
