Raymond Roberts Jr

Raymond Joseph Roberts Jr, age 75 of Baraga, MI passed away on Thursday, February 8th, 2024 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 22nd, 1948 in Baraga, son of Raymond and Jacqueline (Gerard) Roberts. Ray attended school in Baraga and worked for the General Teamsters Local Union No. 406, retiring in 2010. After retirement he enjoyed working 7 days a week doing dishes at the Lakeside, where he had many friends. Ray also enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his grand kids.

Surviving are his daughter Melinda Roberts of Baraga; son Micheal Dowd of L'Anse; brothers, Terence Roberts, Joey (Aimee) Roberts; sisters, Jacqueline (Charles) Jolin, Florence (Lowell) Jolin, Barbara (Pierre) Combre, Jean (Lonnie) Schmit; grandchildren, troy, Michael (Laura), Davina (Chris), Allyson, Gregory, Jonah, Nicholas; and numerous great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Raymond and Jacqueline; wife Doris Dowd; brothers, Wallace Roberts, John Roberts; and sister Susan Karvonen.

Per his request there will be no funeral service. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
