Rebecca Lynn Stenson, 52, of Chicago, Illinois passed onward along the enlightened path to our Father of Life on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

She was born October 22, 1952, in L'Anse, MI, a daughter of Conrad and Margaret Stenson. Becky spent all of her early years growing up in Covington, a hometown she took pleasure in, returning to visit with her family. She was a 1970 L'Anse High School graduate.

Rebecca worked for years as a legal secretary for the Neistein-Richman-Hauslinger & Young law firm and retired in 2001.

She loved with a passion the game of Scrabble and worked the Scramble Grams in the daily newspaper. She enjoyed a good life and while residing in Chicago had a great appreciation for the culture the city provided. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and will always be remembered for being a wonderful person with a beautiful smile who was considerate of others.

She is survived by her husband, Mort Hauslinger of Chicago; mother, Margaret Jenny Stenson of Covington; siblings, Conrad (Jeane) Stenson of Trout Creek, Ruthy (Tom) Brown of L'Anse, Fred Stenson of Covington, Artie (Patty) Stenson of Trout Creek, Stanley (Ange) Stenson of Covington, Margie (Edgar) Aguilar of California, Cindy (Ron) Kantola of Chassell, Thor Stenson of Marquette and Holly (Juan Jasso) Stenson of California; one great-aunt; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father in 1973 and a brother, Teddy in 1976.

Psalm 116: 7-8 Be at rest once more O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. For You O Lord have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
