Reuben Paul Collins

Reuben Paul Collins, age 68 of Sidnaw, MI passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital in L'Anse, MI.
He was born May 14, 1946 in Ontonagon, MI son of Francis and June (Bennett) Collins. Reuben graduated from L'Anse High School in 1964. He married former Yolanda Gardner on October 3, 1970 in Sidnaw.
Reuben was in the US Army from 1965-67; and the National Guard from 1980-2000. He worked for Celotex Corp. from 1970-2005.
Reuben was retired from the Duncan Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, gardening, cutting wood, working with the tractor, playing with the dogs, and hosting big get together's.
Surviving are his wife Yolanda of Sidnaw; son Aaron Collins of Sidnaw; daughters Rachel (Jim Potrzebowski Jr.) Warnke of Sidnaw and Amanda (Gerald) Cadeau of Baraga; brother Dale (Marcy) Collins of Watton; 6 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents precede him in death.
Graveside services was on Saturday, August 16th at 11:00 a.m. in the Sidnaw Cemetery with Rev. John Henry officiating. The Baraga County Area Veterans conducted military rites under the direction of the American Legion Post 444. The Jacobson Funeral Home assisted the family.
