Robert R. Bennett

Robert R. Bennett, age 87 formerly of Sidnaw, MI passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Iron River Care Center in Iron River, MI.
He was born June 30, 1917 in Sidnaw, MI son of the late Reuben and Annie (Rickard) Bennett. Bob grew up in Sidnaw and graduated from Kenton High School. He went into the US Air Force during WWII. Bob married the former Lilian Brealey in Nottingham, England. Upon retiring from the Air Force they moved back to Sidnaw.
Bob was a member of the Sidnaw United Methodist Church, American Legion Post in Trout Creek, and the VFW Post 8945 in Covington. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and photography.
Surviving are his sons, Roger (Betsy) Bennett of Watton, MI and John (Sue) Bennett of Otsego, MI; sisters, Lorraine (Fritz) Beauprey of Sidnaw, Marion Tollefson of Sidnaw; grandchildren, Robert (Kathy) Bennett of Minneapolis and Sondra (Heath) Burdick of Stevens Point, WI.
Preceding him in death are his wife Lilian; brothers, Carol and William Bennett; sisters, Pearl Bennett, Eloise Hallada, Ruby Lintz, June Toivonen and Nora Fesnick.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 4th at 11:00 AM at Jacobson Funeral Home. Rev. John Henry will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, with the Baraga Area Veterans conducting military rites at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
