Rosella Marie Cadeau, age 86 of Baraga, MI passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 20, 1927 in Baraga, MI daughter to Edward and Irene (Vizina) Cadeau. Rosella attended school in Baraga. She married John Cadeau on December 27, 1944 in Kentucky.

Rosella was a member of St. Ann's Church in Baraga. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, weaving, gardening, singing, square dancing, fishing, hunting, traveling, making maple syrup, cooking, and canning. Rosella loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her sons, Deacon John (Mary) Cadeau of Baraga, Steve (Susan) Cadeau of Baraga, Randy (Laura) Cadeau of L'Anse; daughters, Cheryl Taisto of Pelkie, MI, Gail (Dan) Loosemore of Baraga; sisters, Eileen (Wesley) Kemppainen of Alston, Ozien George of Dousman, WI; sister-in-laws Elsie Cadeau of Baraga, and Fern (Ruth) Cadeau of Ironwood; 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband John Cadeau; daughter Colleen Timmerman; grandsons, John Mark Cadeau and Matthew Carr; brothers, Edward, Francis, and Gabriel Cadeau.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 15th from 6-8:00 p.m. at Jacobson Funeral Home; a rosary and parish prayers will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Her funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 16th, 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Church in Baraga with Fr. Corey Litzner officiating. Burial will be in the Baraga Cemetery in the spring. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
