Ruth Marie Curtis
November 17, 1939 — December 20, 2008
Ruth Marie Curtis, age 69 of L'Anse, MI passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Wood Haven where she had been residing. She finally went to join her loving son and family after a short term struggle with cancer.
Ruth was born November 17, 1939 daughter to the late Percy and Lillian (Champagne) Curtis. She grew up in L'Anse and then lived in Wakefield for many years; returning to L'Anse about 18 years ago.
She was a loving mother of Steve Conley of L'Anse, Todd Conley of Bergland, John Conley of Hurley, WI, Leroy Hamm of Baraga, Terri Hamm of Minneapolis area, and Robert Tiosh and Keturah Tiosh Peterson that have preceded in death. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Her brother Martin Curtis and sister Frances Curtis also preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd at 1:00 pm at Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Fr. Augustin George will officiate. Burial will take place in the spring in the Assinins Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
