Sharon Faye Elenich, age 66 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Bayside Village in L’Anse.
She was born January 29, 1951 in Hancock, MI daughter of Arthur and Aileen (Eilola) Raasio. Sharon graduated from Hancock High School in 1969. She married Frederick Elenich on June 15, 1973 in Calumet, MI. They resided in Laurium prior to moving to Daleville, IN where she worked for Kroger Grocery Store. In August 2012 she moved to L’Anse and worked at Pat’s Foods.
Sharon was a member of the Red Hats. She enjoyed picking blueberries, doing arts and crafts, watching soap operas, and spending time with family.
Surviving are her children, Brian (Holly) Elenich of Harvey, MI, Bruce (Becky) Elenich of Clearwater FL, Scott Elenich of Battle Creek, MI, Cheryl (Larry) Elenich of Escanaba, Greg (Heather) Elenich of Brownsburg, IN, Derrick Elenich of Albion, IN, Andrew Elenich of L’Anse, MI; siblings, Clyde (Sandy) Raasio of Hancock, Lois (Art) Anderson of L’Anse, Melvin (Bobbie) Raasio of Elizabeth Town, NC, Dennis (Cheri) Raasio of Hancock; brother-in-law Michael Elenich of Gladstone, MI; grandchildren, Kyle, Hunter, Alexis, Bennett, Delaney, Matt, Alan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death are her parents and husband Fred.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
