Terry Raymond Whitty

Terry Raymond Whitty, age 70 of L'Anse died on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 28, 1939 in L'Anse, MI son of Clifford and Marie (Chevalier) Whitty. Terry is a life long resident of L'Anse and attended school in L'Anse. He owned Terry Whitty's Body Shop in L'Anse doing auto body work for 35 years retiring in 2000. He is married to Margit Weiss, the love of his life for the past 28 years.
Terry loved the Casino, going to camp and hunting.
Surviving are his wife Margit Whitty of L'Anse; daughter Diana (Keith) Voakes of L'Anse; sister, Elaine (Donald) Erickson of L'Anse; three grandchildren, Jan, Jesse, and Jolie Voakes; great granddaughter Alyssa Voakes; and nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; son Michael Whitty; brothers, Richard, Roland, and Raymond Whitty.
A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, Nov. 20th at 11:00 am at the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery with Fr. John Longbucco officiating. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
