Thomas Manges

Thomas E. Manges, 56, of Nisula, died at his home, Sunday afternoon, January 8, 2006, following a brief battle with cancer.
He was born November 26, 1949, in Midland, Michigan, a son of Cecil and Margaret (Payette) Manges. Thomas had been a resident of the area for the past 20 years and was employed as a logger.
Thomas is survived by his father, Cecil Manges of Nisula; mother, Margaret Brion of Adrian; 3 brothers, Jayson Manges of Nisula, Dale Manges of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan and Rick (Debby) Finney of Midland, MI; 4 sisters, Penny (Moses0 Abram of Bay City, MI, Debbie (Jim) Irish of Pickney, MI, Linda (Ken) Mund of Jackson, MI and Margaret "Judy" Dobbs of Cortez, Colorado; 9 nieces and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
There will be a time of visitation and fellowship on Friday, January 13, 2006 from 3 to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon in the Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse. There will be no formal funeral services. Interment will be in the Alston Cemetery in the spring.
