Vieno S. Lindgren-Prost

Vieno S. Lindgren-Prost, 72, of Baraga, Michigan, died Thursday evening, January 13, 2005 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 19, 1932, in Pelkie, Michigan, a daughter of the late Edward and Aileen (Mantila) Harkonen. Vieno married Calvin Lindgren in August of 1950. They resided in Detroit for several years and returned to the Baraga area in 1969. He preceded her in death in 1984. In January of 1991 she married Ralph Prost and he preceded her in death in 1998.
Vieno enjoyed knitting, gardening and spending time at her camp in Aura, Michigan.
She is survived by 3 sons, Edward (Ruthann) Lindgren of Chassell, Dennis (Jean) Lindgren of Rhinelander, WI and Michael Lindgren, also of Rhinelander; 5 grandchildren, Scott Lindgren of Chassell, Jamie Lindgren of Chatham, Kristi (Jason) Breunig of Eden Prairie, MN, Amy Bell of Green Bay, WI and Brian Lindgren of Rhinelander; 4 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Reino Harkonen of Wausaukee, WI.
A private funeral service will be held in the Jacobson Funeral Home. Interment will take place in the spring in the Pelkie Cemetery.
