Viola Luella Alward

Viola Luella Alward, age 91 of Three Lakes, MI passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming, MI.
She was born on October 14, 1919 in Central Lake, MI daughter to the late Charles and Emma (Simon) Stott. She attended Atrim City School in Ellsworth, MI. Viola married Charles Alward on October 14, 1943 in Ellsworth, MI. The owned and operated the Cozy Inn bar and gas station in Nestoria, MI since 1978. Viola loved her birds, cats, and dog, playing cards, and feeding the deer.
Surviving are her son, Fredrick "Fritz" Alward of Nestoria, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Charles, son Glenn Alward, brother Joe Stott, sisters Bernice Shaw and Edith Wolverton.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
