Wayne E. Ball

Wayne E. Ball, age 77, of L'Anse passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette.
He was born May 8, 1924 in Cresaftown, Maryland, son of the late Ernest and Daisy (Kelly) Ball. Mr. Ball grew up in Highland Park, MI.
He married the former Glenna M. Collins on January 26, 1946 in Detroit. They lived in Royal Oak most of his life, where he worked as a union roofer. They moved to L'Anse in 1984 upon his retirement. Mr. Ball resided at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans for the past three years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching boxing.
Mr. Ball is survived by his wife Glenna of L'Anse; two sons, Larry Ball of Ferndale, MI, and Gary Ball of L'Anse; two sisters, Judy Grogan of Madison Heights, MI, Robin (Max) Terwilliger of Comins, MI; brother Glen (Jackie) Ball of Fort Meyers, FL, nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mr. Ball will be held on Thursday, March 7, at 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Rev. David Snyder will officiate. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
