William J. Huttula
December 20, 1918 — January 15, 2003
William "Bill" J. Huttula age 85 of Watton passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born December 20, 1918 in Butte, Montana son of the late Hjalmar and Hilda (Martila) Huttula. Bill grew up in Watton and attended school in Kenton. He worked at CCI as a miner, retiring in 1979.
Bill is a member of the Watton Apostolic Lutheran Church, and was a former board member of the church. He enjoyed reading, hunting, skiing and snow shoeing.
He is survived by numerous friends and several cousins. Bill is preceded in death by his brother Oliver.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 17, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watton Apostolic Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Jim Johnson will officiate. Burial will take place in the spring in the Covington Twp. Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
