Joseph Majeski, 86 of Skanee, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at his son's home in Little Suamico, WI.
He was born in Pequaming MI on January 28, 1937 the son of the late Alex and Josephine (Bryfczynski) Majeski. Joe married the love of his life, Marilyn Barnett on September 5, 1959 at Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee.
Joe worked construction throughout the state, worked for General Motors in Lansing for 10 years and then returned home and worked for Celotex for 25 years and retired. He was a hard worker and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee. He was always volunteering and was not afraid to wash the dishes or mop the floors. Joe loved music and playing the accordion. He and Arlene Vanburen were the livelihood of many gatherings. He loved to watch Molly B on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
Surviving are his sons, Brian (Missy) Majeski of Skanee, Wayne (Sue) Majeski of Oconmowoc, WI, Dennis (Carrie) Majeski of Little Suamico, WI; sister Eleanor Sikkila of Lyman, South Carolina; sister in law Jill Botsford of Oshkosh, WI, grandchildren Tara (Jacob) Metz, Brian Majeski Jr., Kenny (Kylie Kristo) Majeski, Melissa (Brent) Staver, Matthew (Emily) Majeski, Caleb (Emily) Scroggs, Brandon (Christine) Scroggs; great grandchildren Jacklyn, Nathan, Thea, Mason, Jaxson, Austin, and Aubree, several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, siblings Pat, Edward, Dorothy, Alex Jr, Leo, and Eugene.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 30th at 12:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee with Pastor Peter Suomela officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow in the church hall. Burial will be in the Skanee Cemetery on July 1st at 10:00 am. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
